"What is the essence of a beautiful landscape? The
compositional beauty produced by flora and other things may be part of it, but
isn't it ultimately a perfectly functioning ecosystem? It is, in fact, a
balance. The world of aquarium is no exception.....'what type of environment
would I prefer if I were a fish' was always at the base when the layouts were
created." - Takashi Amano
The
world of ‘Nature Aquarium’ as Takashi Amano, the father of aquascaping liked to
call his art or planted (freshwater) aquarium has undergone considerable change
in the way we approach it, that is since I wrapped up my planted tanks(s)
a good 8-10 years ago. And Takashi Amano is no more with us.

Being
a D-I-Y’er hobbyist all my life, this blog is what I believe or hope to be a
documentation of my rekindling affair with planted tanks. Below, a couple of
avatars (of many) of my old four footer (48”x18”x18”) that I plan to
revive.
Coming
up soon… LIGHTS, CO2, FERTS and ACTION…!
